If so, we’d love to connect with you! We are Mental Health Cooperative (MHC), and we’re looking for a Behavioral Health Liaison to join our team! This role serves Cheatham County Schools on 10-month, 210-day work cycle. You’ll provide support and consultation to teachers and school personnel in implementing school-wide trauma-informed practices, including universal prevention and early intervention strategies that promote a positive school climate.

To join our team, you’ll need:

  • To be an expert facilitator and trainer in behavioral health topics to educate teachers and school personnel
  • To foster positive partnerships with various stakeholders (students, families, teachers, and school administrators)
  • To be a partner with teachers in creating positive, trauma-informed classroom environments
  • Willingness to work with students to help them understand emotional and behavioral issues and promote healthy strategies for dealing with stress
  • Master’s Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in the Mental Health Field with 1-3 years’ experience or training in social services

We’re especially looking for someone who’s:

  • Highly collaborative and thrives working on a team
  • Licensed to practice therapy in good standing in Tennessee (LPC, LCSW, LMSW (may be licensed eligible within one year)
  • Experienced working with children/youth and families with significant behavioral health issues
